In 2024, we established the Carrie Wilson Memorial Performing Arts Scholarship which is awarded to a singular graduate who has been an especially notable contributor to the Alhambra High School performing arts program.
A community volunteer, passionate educator of young children, and steadfast patron of the theater, Carrie Wilson served for more than a decade as the president of the AHS Arts Foundation and ensured consistent support for the performing arts at Alhambra where her own beloved children, Ryan and Amanda, once participated and thrived. Carrie remained active with the AHSAF board and volunteer efforts until her passing in 2024.
An awardee is selected by the Foundation to recognize an especially dedicated drama student who has demonstrated leadership and made positive efforts to improve the drama program as well as contributed to the school and local community beyond theater.
