About AHS Arts Foundation

Founded in 2009, we are an all-volunteer nonprofit group of parents, friends, and community members whose mission is to support a robust performing arts program at Alhambra High School in Martinez, California. We achieve this through fundraising, facilitating volunteer opportunities, and fostering a supportive environment that celebrates the performing arts and empowers our young artists.

Research indicates that participation in theater during high school yields significant social, emotional, and academic benefits for students. Through the experience of creating a show, students not only hone creative talents in their area of interest, but practice life skills and experience positive growth while working together as a team. The generosity of our donors and community partners makes it possible for AHSAF ensure students who participate across multiple disciplines have the resources to create quality theater for our community.

As the 501(c)(3) nonprofit partner of Alhambra High School Drama Club, we are uniquely positioned to support program needs. Our leadership works with teachers, directors, and student officers to encourage participation in the performing arts, fulfill special projects to benefit students, and respond to production needs that are not covered by the school or district budget.
